Abstract:
This image processing device comprises a control unit that: acquires a plurality of cross-sectional images obtained at different times using a sensor, which moves through a lumen of a biological tissue, for each position of the sensor in the moving direction thereof; analyzes the acquired plurality of cross-sectional images to calculate the cross-sectional area of the lumen in the plurality of cross-sectional images; selects one cross-sectional image from among the plurality of cross-sectional images on the basis of the calculated cross-sectional area; and generates a three-dimensional image representing the biological tissue from a group of selected images obtained for a plurality of positions of the sensor in the moving direction.
