Abstract:
A threshold map generating unit 412: divides a captured image into crowded and uncrowded regions on the basis of an operation signal which has been received from an input device 30; acquires from a threshold storage unit 411 person determination thresholds which are based on the crowding levels of each of the regions; and generates a threshold map. On the basis of the threshold map, a person detection unit 421 carries out person detection in each of the plurality of regions, using the person determination thresholds corresponding to the respective regions. A tracking unit 422 carries out tracking of detected persons. Using a person detection result and a tracking result, a person detection reliability computation unit 441 computes a person detection reliability for each detected person. Thus, it is possible to obtain precise and highly reliable person detection information.
