The present invention provides an image processing device, an image processing method and an image processing program which are applicable to creation of a photo book that gives a uniform impression of the whole of a lumped image group such as an image group within the same page by making the image qualities of image portions giving a strong impression in the lumped image group uniform. Regarding images I1 and I2 of a group G1 each including the face of a person, image correction by which the feature amount of an image of a face region F1 is matched to the feature amount of an image of a good face region F2 is performed. Further, regarding images I3 and I4 of group G2 each including a building, image correction by which the feature amount of an image of a building region F3 is matched to the feature amount of an image of a good building region F4 is performed. Consequently, a composite image in which the image qualities of image regions attracting people's attention such as a face region or a region having a certain level of attractiveness or higher are matched to the image quality of a good image can be created, thereby making it possible to give a viewer an impression that the image qualities within an image placement unit such as a page are uniform.
