Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a technology for more appropriately visualizing three-dimensional images. [Solution] An image processing device 1 that comprises a UI control unit 11a and a rendering processing unit 16b. From volume data made up of a plurality of points, the rendering processing unit 16b acquires surface data that represents a surface shape specified on the basis of the magnitudes of the values of the plurality of points. The UI control unit 11a sets a threshold value for the values for determining whether to display the surface data. The rendering processing unit 16b specifies the intersection between a straight line that passes through a location set as a viewpoint and a point designated by a user and the surface shape displayed in accordance with the threshold value. The rendering processing unit 16b uses a plane that passes through the intersection as a reference to control display of the surface shape represented by the surface data.
