Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image processing device, an image processing method and a program, with which it is possible to more appropriately switch viewpoints. Provided is an image processing device comprising: a virtual image generation unit for generating, in accordance with band information pertaining to the transmission of viewpoint images, a virtual image based on viewpoint image-associated information associated with a first viewpoint image and model data that corresponds to the subject of a viewpoint image; and a display control unit for performing control so as to display the generated virtual image before displaying the first viewpoint image. The present invention can be applied, for example, to a reproduction device for reproducing VR content.
