Abstract:
Provided are a medical image processing device and a medical image processing method with which it is possible to perform specialized learning more accurately when specialized learning is implemented on a plurality of conventional feature amounts in line with the findings of a doctor. This image processing device is provided with: an image group conversion unit that calculates a predetermined feature amount (first feature amount) value for each image constituting an inputted first image group, and selects images as images of a second image group from among the first image group on the basis of the feature amount values; and a feature amount extraction unit that performs learning for the second image group generated by the image group conversion unit using a feature amount generation network to extract a novel feature amount (second feature amount).
