Abstract:
The present invention enables acquisition of a high-frequency image at low computation cost and at high speed. A polarization optical unit 20 divides incident light into a first polarized light and a second polarized light, performs an optical low-pass filtering process on the first polarized light, and generates combined light by combining the first polarized light on which the optical low-pass filtering process has been performed and the second polarized light on which the optical low-pass filtering process has not been performed. A polarization image acquiring unit 30 has a first polarization pixel for generating pixel information of a first polarization image on the basis of the combined light, and a second polarization pixel for generating pixel information of a second polarization image on the basis of the combined light. An image processing unit 40 performs differential computation on the first polarization image and second polarization image acquired by the polarization image acquiring unit 30, to generate a high-frequency image.
