Abstract:
An image processing device (100) comprises a saturation detecting unit (140), a determining unit (150), and a shutter control unit (160) that controls operation of a shutter (901) that shields a sensor, which captures thermal images, from incoming light. The saturation detecting unit (140) detects prescribed saturated pixels, which are saturated pixels that satisfy predetermined conditions, from thermal image data obtained by the sensor. The determining unit (150) determines, from the thermal image data obtained while the shutter (901) was shielding the sensor from incoming light, whether or not damaged pixels are present in the range in which the saturation detecting unit (140) detected prescribed saturated pixels. The shutter control unit (160) performs control for closing the shutter (901) when the saturation detecting unit (140) has detected the prescribed saturated pixels, and opening the shutter (901) at a timing based on the determination results of the determining unit (150).
