Abstract:
The present disclosure pertains to an image processing device and an image processing method that allow decoding of octree encoded data in various processing orders. An octree corresponding to point cloud data is encoded by initializing a context for each hierarchical layer of the octree. In addition, a breadth-first order or a depth-first order is selected as a decoding order of the octree encoded data corresponding to the point cloud data, and the encoded data is decoded in the selected decoding order. The present disclosure is applicable to, for example, an image processing device, an electronic device, an image processing method, or a program.
