Abstract:
This image processing device processes an image of a tape which has a plurality of cavities for storing components to be supplied, the device comprising: a feature amount acquisition unit that uses the image to extract the luminance of pixels in a prescribed range which may include components inside a cavity and the floor of the cavity, and acquires, as a feature amount, a value indicating the variation in the extracted luminances; and a determination unit that determines the presence/absence of a component inside a cavity on the basis of the feature amount acquired from the image, and a determination threshold value set on the basis of respective feature amounts for when there is a component inside a cavity and for when there is not a component.
