Abstract:
An image processing device is provided with: a reduction unit for reducing the number of pixels in a distance image that have a pixel value corresponding to frames taken by a plurality of image pickup units and corresponding to parallax of an object that is located within a predetermined distance from the plurality of image pickup units; and a detection unit for detecting the object that is located within the predetermined distance on the basis of the reduced distance image, wherein the reduction unit extracts from the distance image pixels at a predetermined interval, and if the value of the extracted pixel is invalid, determines the value of the extracted pixel on the basis of the values of pixels around the extracted pixel.
