Abstract:
This image processing device comprises: a reception unit that receives, from a machine-tool camera, a captured image of a tool; an area computation unit that calculates a surplus area which is the area of the region, among regions corresponding to the tool, of a portion that is separated from the tool center by at least a prescribed distance; and an examination unit that, on the basis of the size of the surplus area, determines whether it is appropriate to continuously use the tool.
