Abstract:
According to this image processing method, first imaging devices (2L, 2R) installed on the sides of a vehicle outside the cabin and forwardly of the rear end of the vehicle are used to capture first images of areas including laterally rearward areas of the vehicle (S1); a second imaging device (3) installed on the rear end of the vehicle is used to capture a second image of an area behind the vehicle (S1); the first images and the second image are combined to generate a combined image as a rearward image of the vehicle (S7); and contour lines that are line segments along the contours of the sides of the vehicle are superimposed in the combined image (S8).
