Abstract:
This image processing method is for extracting a subject from an image including the subject by using a background image, and includes: generating a background removal image which is obtained by removing, from an image, a background region that does not include the subject in the image; compressing the background removal image; sending the compressed background removal image via a network; receiving the compressed background removal image via the network; decrypting the received compressed background removal image; generating a restored image by combining the decrypted background removal image and the background image; and extracting the subject by comparing the decrypted image and the background image.
