Abstract:
[Problem] To image process an image of arbitrary size efficiently and with greater precision. [Solution] Provided is an image processing system comprising an image segmenting unit which segments an inputted image according to the size of the inputted image, an image processing unit which carries out a prescribed image process by parallel processing on each of the segmented segment images, and an image integration unit which integrates the segment images on which the prescribed image process is carried out and produces one output image. The image segmenting unit segments the inputted image so as to include periphery regions of the segment images. The image processing unit carries out the prescribed image process on the segment images including the periphery regions. The image integration unit deletes the periphery regions of the image processed segment images and joins end part regions of the segment images after the periphery regions are deleted.
