Abstract:
The present invention provides an image projection system (100) comprising an image projection device (101) provided with a projection optical system (110) for projecting image display light to an eyeball (130), and an optical element (120) for condensing the image display light in the vicinity of the pupil and causing the image display light to reach the retina, the image projection system (100) being used in a state in which the positional relationship between the optical element (120) and the eyeball (130) is fixed. The present invention also provides an image projection method including a projection step for projecting image display light from the image projection device to an eyeball, and a condensing step for condensing the image display light projected in the projection step in the vicinity of the pupil through use of the optical element (120) and causing the image display light to reach the retina, the projection step and the condensing step being performed in a state in which the positional relationship between the optical element (120) and the eyeball (130) is fixed.
