Abstract:
There is provided a multi-projector (10) for projecting an image onto a screen so that video is displayed for a user. The projector includes: a division unit (11) for dividing an input image into n element images; n edge processing units (15) for processing the luminance of the edge portion of each element image; and n projection devices (16). The division unit (11) generates each element image so that the edge portions of the adjacent element images are overlapped. The edge processing units (15) specify an image position of the overlapped area of the element images by using a horizontal counter and a vertical counter and multiplies the image signal by the counter value. The multi-projector (10) can gradually reduce the luminance of the overlapped area of each element image in the direction toward the edge so that the element image is smoothly connected to another element image when displayed on the screen.
