Abstract:
An image projector preferably used for, e. g., an electronic still camera, a projected image pattern, a laser driver, and an imaging device. A contrast-detection (image sharpness) focus detector, in which the light beam from a laser diode is applied to a hologram plate (16), the light beam is diffracted and interfered, a hologram-reproduced image (17) is formed on a focus detection object by the diffraction and interference. With this constitution, contrast detection (image sharpness) autofocusing and manual focusing are well done, and such a device can be readily incorporated into, e. g., a small electronic still camera.
