Abstract:
On the basis of first read image data obtained by reading a first surface of a document, a control unit (1) finds the size (first sub-scanning size) in a sub-scanning direction of the first surface. On the basis of second read image data obtained by reading a second surface of the document, the control unit finds the size (second sub-scanning size) in the sub-scanning direction of the second surface. The control unit determines the larger of the first sub-scanning size and the second sub-scanning direction size to be a fixed sub-scanning size (S1) that is the size in the sub-scanning-direction of the set document.
