Abstract:
A detection part (5) can move in an auxiliary scan direction (82) and height direction (83) by means of a movement part (6) and elastic member (8). A transparent plate (3) provided opposite the detection part (5) is provided with a document contact surface (311). A reference member (41) is provided in a position not overlapping the document contact surface (311) in the auxiliary scan direction (82). The reference member (41) includes a sheet (43) and a part of a plate part (4) arranged above the sheet (43). The bottom surface of the sheet (43) constitutes a first surface (44) which includes a reference colour for calibration. The height position of the reference member (41) is the same as the height position of the document contact surface (311). The height position when the detection part (5) is below of the reference member (41) is lower than the height position when the detection part (5) is below the document contact surface (311).
