Abstract:
Targets that should be considered the same object in a three-dimensional space may be detected as a plurality of objects due to the influence of the external environment, characteristics of the targets, restrictions on the detection parameters, etc. Provided is an image recognition device comprising: a region detection unit that detects a plurality of detection regions from an image; a temporary connection processing unit that temporarily connects the plurality of detection regions; an object identity determination processing unit that determines whether the temporarily connected plurality of detection regions can be identified as a single object; and a detection region integration processing unit that, on the basis of the result of the determination by the object identity determination processing unit, determines a combination of detection regions among the plurality of detection regions that should be recognized as a single object, and reflects this determination in the object detection result.
