Abstract:
Provided is a printer that does not need an input operation to cause an image processing device to acquire information pertaining to consumable goods, etc. A controller of the printer acquires template data 1 from the information processing device through the internet. The template data 1 includes item information depicted in a data format that can be processed by a management program installed in the information processing device, and substitution instruction data. The controller of the printer stores consumable goods information such as a remaining quantity value in memory in correlation with the substitution instruction data. The controller of the printer substitutes the substitution instruction data for the consumable goods information correlated with the substitution instruction data and generates completed template data 1. The controller of the printer transmits the generated completed template data 1 to the information processing device through the internet.
