Abstract:
An image recording method including: a recording step in which a white ink containing water and a white pigment is applied on one of the surfaces of a non-permeable substrate by the inkjet method and a white image is recorded; and a winding step in which the non-permeable substrate having the white image recorded thereon is wound while tension is applied thereto, wherein when the front surface energy difference between the other surface of the non-permeable substrate and the front surface of the white image in units of mJ/m2 is denoted by ΔE and the tension in units of N/m is denoted by P, the value of the ratio ΔE/P obtained by dividing ΔE by P is 0.06-0.60.
