Abstract:

The present application provides an image sensor, an image output method therefor, and a use thereof. The image sensor comprises: an input circuit, configured to perform, during an EVS mode operation period, first photoelectric conversion on incident light to generate a photocurrent, and to perform, during an APS mode operation period, second photoelectric conversion on the incident light to generate a photocharge; an EVS circuit, configured to output, during the first photoelectric conversion process, a corresponding event signal according to a difference between a first voltage corresponding to the photocurrent and a reference voltage; an APS circuit, configured to output, during a first photoelectric conversion continuation process, a corresponding grayscale signal according to a second voltage corresponding to the photocharge; and a control circuit, configured to output a corresponding APS image according to the grayscale signal and a corresponding EVS image according to the event signal, wherein a single APS mode operation period is between adjacent EVS mode operation periods. The present application can not only reduce the size of the image sensor, but also output a plurality of EVS images while outputting one APS image.
