Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a technology for reducing the possibility that the amount of information of an unimportant object becomes excessive. [Solution] An image transmission system is configured to comprise: an image capturing unit which is mounted on a vehicle and captures an image of the road on which the vehicle is traveling; an information reduction processing unit which, for important objects in a specific state among objects present in the image, performs an information reduction process on the image such that the amount of information reduction per unit area of the important objects is smaller than the amount of information reduction per unit area of unimportant objects other than the important objects; and an image transmission unit which transmits the image after an information reduction process to an external device.
