Abstract:
An image update method and apparatus, and a terminal and a storage medium, relating to the technical field of terminals. The method comprises: sending image frame data to a display screen by means of a synthesis thread, the image frame data being obtained after surface synthesis by the synthesis thread (401); obtaining the number of times an image frame is currently displayed on the display screen (402); and if the number of times is greater than a number-of-times threshold, resetting a vertical synchronization signal starting point of the display screen, and updating, according to the image frame data, the image frame displayed on the display screen (403). With respect to the method in the related art that the display screen needs to receive a hardware vertical synchronization signal before it can perform image update, in the method, by resetting the vertical synchronization starting point of the display screen, the display screen can perform image update immediately according to the image frame data upon receipt of a new image frame when the same image frame is repeatedly displayed, so as to shorten the time during which the display screen waits for the hardware vertical synchronization signal, thereby facilitating improvement of the speed of displaying an image on the display screen.
