Abstract:
Provided is an imaging device capable of suppressing the fluctuations of a frame rate due to the brightness of an object environment. The imaging device comprises imaging means (1, 2) for imaging an object to acquire image data, compression means (3) for compressing the image data acquired by the imaging means (1, 2), at a frame unit, light quantity information calculating means (2) for calculating the light quantity information containing a shutter speed and a gain value, on the basis of the image data acquired by the imaging means (1, 2), and compressibility determining means (5, 6) for determining the compressibility of the compression means (3) at the frame unit, on the basis of the light quantity information calculated by the light quantity information calculating means (2). The compression means (3) compresses the image data at the frame unit on the basis of the compressibility determined by the compressibility determining means (5, 6).
