Abstract:
This imaging device comprises: an imaging element; an ND filter unit including a plurality of filter holders which are equipped with a plurality of optical ND filters having different transmittances, and which allow the optical ND filters to be selectively inserted into an incidence optical path with respect to the imaging element; and a control unit. The control unit is capable of variably setting the transmittance of the ND filter unit by performing drive control by which, for each of the plurality of filter holders, the optical ND filter to be inserted into the incidence optical path is switched. If the plurality of filter holders need to be driven for switching to a target transmittance, the control unit performs control such that the plurality of filter holders to be driven are simultaneously displaced in the same direction by the same amount of displacement.
