Abstract:
Provided are an imaging device, a driving method for an imaging device, and a program which enable distance information to be acquired quickly. Provided is an imaging device which comprises an image sensor that has a phase difference pixel group including a first phase difference pixel group and a second phase difference pixel group, and at least one processor, wherein the processor is configured to execute: a first mode, which is a mode pertaining to focusing on a subject, and in which focusing information about a first area is acquired by executing a first shift operation for first phase difference information that can be obtained from the first phase difference pixel group in the first area and second phase difference information that can be obtained from the second phase difference pixel group in the first area; and a second mode which is a mode different from the first mode, and in which distance information about a second area, which is larger than the first area, is acquired by executing a second shift operation for the first phase difference information and the second phase difference information corresponding to the second area, and wherein a shift range in the second shift operation is smaller than that in the first shift operation.
