Abstract:
An imaging device (1) includes a frequency pattern detection unit (3141) for detecting, on the basis of the pixel output of a plurality of imaging pixels located on the periphery of a focus detection pixel of an imaging element (21), the degree to which a subject image pattern received by the imaging element (21) is a high frequency. An interpolation processing unit (315) weights the interpolation output calculated by using the pixel output of the imaging pixels on the periphery of the focus detection pixel and the pixel output of the focus detection pixel and mixes the weighted outputs. An application assessment unit (3142) determines, on the basis of the output of the frequency pattern detection unit (3141), a mixing ratio used in weighting the outputs and mixing the weighted outputs by the interpolation processing unit (315).
