Abstract:
This invention provides an imaging device and a time-lapse imaging method that can simply achieve time-lapse imaging using a pan and tilt mechanism. In a preferred embodiment of this invention, an imaging device (10) is provided with a pan and tilt mechanism that turns an imaging unit (20) in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction with respect to a device main body (12). Along with transmitting a live view image to a smart phone (100) and displaying the live view image on a display input unit (120), instruction inputs that specify camerawork in time-lapse imaging are received using the display input unit (120) (UI unit). Thus, instructions for specifying camerawork for carrying out time-lapse imaging using the pan and tilt mechanism can easily be input. Furthermore, the imaging device (10) at least controls the pan and tilt mechanism on the basis of the instruction input for specifying the camerawork and performs time-lapse imaging by controlling the imaging unit.
