Abstract:
This imaging device is equipped with: an imaging unit which is provided with an imaging element; a first video signal processing unit which generates a first video signal having a first resolution from a pixel signal obtained from the imaging unit; a second video signal processing unit which sets a plurality of division areas for spatially partitioning the first video signal generated by the first video signal processing unit, cuts out from the first video signal, for each individual division area, a block of the first video signal that is a region having a smaller size than the corresponding division area, and by connecting together the blocks, generates a second video signal having a second resolution that is lower than the first resolution; and a viewfinder which displays the second video signal.
