Abstract:
An imaging device includes: a CCD (102) having a normal operation period and a focused
operation period and capable of thinning image signals of an object; an AFE (103)
for converting the image signals into image data; a signal processing unit (104b)
for converting the image data into display data; an LCD (107) for displaying an
image based on the display data; and a thinning control unit (104c) for modifying a
read frame rate of the CCD (102) and the thinning ratio. The thinning control unit
(104c) performs control as follows. When in the focused operation period, the
thinning control unit (104c) reads out an image signal from the CCD (102) with a
read-out frame rate higher than in the normal operation period. When in the focused
operation period and in a frame immediately before the focused operation period,
the thinning control unit (104c) reads out an image signal from the CCD (102) with
a thinning ratio greater than in the normal operation period. With this configuration,
it is possible to provide an imaging device capable of performing a through display
in all the regions of all the frames in the focused operation period.
