Abstract:
Disclosed is an imaging device that is capable of omitting calculation of a pulse signal for the purpose of emitting a strobe when the strobe is emitted continuously. The imaging device is equipped with an imaging unit that photographs a subject, a light-emitting unit that stores electricity and uses the electricity to emit light, a power supply that supplies electricity, and a control unit that controls the supply of electricity to the light-emitting unit. When the light-emitting unit performs a preliminary emission of light followed by a main emission of light, the control unit does not supply electricity to the light-emitting unit after the preliminary emission of light until the first main emission of light, and in the interval between the first main emission of light and the next main emission of light, supplies electricity until the amount of electricity that was stored in the light-emitting unit for the first main emission of light is reached.
