Abstract:
The imaging device disclosed in the present application is provided with: a plurality of optical detection units which are optical detection units (15a, 15b) having light receiving surfaces with the light receiving surfaces of the plurality of optical detection units constituting an imaging surface by being arranged in two dimensions along a first direction and a second direction which differs from the first direction; a transparent layer (11) having an light input surface and a light output surface and being disposed such that the light output surface faces the imaging surface; and a plurality of light splitting units (12) that have indices of refraction greater than the index of refraction of the transparent layer (11), and are arranged in two dimensions in a plane of arrangement which is within the transparent layer and parallel with the imaging surface. Zero-order diffracted light (13) and ± first order diffracted light (14) formed by light passing through the light splitting units and the portions of the transparent layer adjacent to the light splitting units fall incident on different optical detection units among the plurality of optical detection units, and the spacing between two adjacent light splitting units in a prescribed direction is smaller on the peripheral sides than on the center side of the imaging surface.
