Abstract:
The present technology relates to an imaging element, a method for driving same, and an electronic device that make it possible to improve function using high-speed reading during a period of time shorter than an image output period. An imaging element is provided with a pixel array in which pixels are arranged in a matrix and a control unit that controls reading of an image from the pixel array. The control unit causes the image from the pixel array to be read at least twice within a period in which one image is output to the exterior. The present technology can be applied, for example, to an imaging element provided with a memory region.
