Abstract:
An imaging system 1A is provided with: a light source 21 for outputting an initial pulse light Lp; a polarization control unit 22 for rotating the polarization plane of the initial pulse light Lp; a light pulse shaping unit 10A input with the initial pulse light Lp for which the polarization plane was rotated, the light pulse shaping unit 10A outputting a first pulse light Lp1 having a first polarization direction and a second pulse light Lp2 having a second polarization direction that differs from the first polarization direction, while maintaining a time difference between the first pulse light and the second pulse light; an irradiation optical system 23 for irradiating an imaging object B with the pulse light Lp1 and the pulse light Lp2; a light separation element 24 for separating the pulse light Lp1 and the pulse light Lp2 that are reflected from or transmitted through the imaging object B on the basis of the polarization direction; an imaging unit 25 for imaging the separated pulse light Lp1; and an imaging unit 26 for imaging the separated pulse light Lp2. An imaging system and an imaging method with which it is possible to further increase imaging speed are thereby achieved .
