Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: an imide derivative which has a high luminous quantum yield and in which concentration quenching is suppressed; a luminous composition containing the same; a luminous thin film; and luminous particles. An imide derivative according to the present invention is characterized by having a structure represented by general formula (1).(In the formula, a plurality of R1's each independently have a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and at least one of the plurality of R1's represents a group having 4 to 30 carbon atoms. A substituent can be further contained in a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring, and * represents the position of a substituent which can be contained in the benzene ring or the naphthalene ring.)
