Abstract:
The improvement according to the present invention concerns a crumbled stone, slate, clay and similar grit (2), placed in site partially plunged into a layer (1) of epossidic glue or resin applied to the glass (V) layer or to the mirror (V-B) layer, so as to realize a back surface richly provided with hemigranular extroflexions that may easily be anchored to the walls by means of mortar or cement.

Claims:
CLAIMS
1. An improvement of the supporting structures for anchoring mirrors and glasses to the walls, comprising a glass layer (V) with a bromide layer in the case of mirrors, and with a protection painting (P), characterized in: a layer (1) of epossidic glue smeared when cold; a plurality of granular elements 2, partially plunged in the external surface (3) of said glue (1) during the construction of the pieces; following to the passage under an erogator of crumbled stone, slate, clay or similar middlings, a successive, slight pressure allows to obtain a constant calibre (thickness) of the whole surface, while a jet of blowed air eliminates the granules (2) that have not setted.
2. An improvement according to claim 1 characterized in that the surfaces of the granules (2) that have remained extroflected during the forming process of the pieces, form the means for anchoring to the wall by means of mortar or cement.
3. An improvement according to claim 1 characterized in that said granules (2) consist of resins so as to realize a wrinkled back surface (3) .
4. An improvement according to claim 1 characterized in the presence of compact layers of differentiated thicknesses of stone, slate, clay and similar applied to the back part of glasses (V) and mirrors (V-B) so as to form the hooking means to the wall by means of mortar and/or cement.
5. An improvement according to claim 1 characterized in the process for the construction of the pieces when warm, putting them into the oven.
Description:
"AN IMPROVEMENT OF THE SUPPORTING STRUCTURES FOR THE ANCHORING OF MIRRORS AND GLASSES TO THE WALLS"

The present invention concerns an improvement of the supporting structures for the anchoring of mirrors and glasses to the masonry walls so as to obtain specular tiles and built-in mirrors of any shape.

A plurality of Italian and international patents, some of which filed by the same inventors of the present patent application, are known in which modular mirrors have been claimed on a clayey pottery support that may be placed in site side-by-side with the conventional tiles covering the walls.

Said modular mirrors are far too expensive for the industrial production and not suitable for the realization of looking-glasses with phantasy shapes.

It is the aim of the present invention to improve the supports for the anchoring to the walls of mirrors and glasses of different shapes and dimensions for the realization of specular tiles and built-in looking- glasses.

The aim set forth is reached by means of the improvement, according to the present invention, concerning a support for anchoring mirrors and glasses to the walls of the kind suitable for solving the actual incompatibility between the glass and the cement usually used for the application to the wall, mainly consisting of crumbled stone, slate, clay or similar grit, placed in site partially plunged in an epossidic glue or a resin layer applied to the glass layer or to the mirror layer so as to obtain a back surface richly provided with hemigranular extroflexions that may be easily anchored to walls with mortar or cement, avoiding rivetings, framings and all other methods for applying glasses or mirrors to walls.

The main advantages of the improvement according to the present invention consist of the quickness with which the different pieces may be placed in site, and in the reduced costs.

The improvement according to the present invention is described more in detail hereinbelow according to the enclosed drawings in which one preferred embodiment is shown.

Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a supporting structure for the anchoring of mirrors and glasses to the walls.

Figure 2 shows a section view of an enlarged detail or a part of the structure according to the present invention.

The enclosed figures show an improvement of the supporting structures for the hooking of mirrors and glassses to the walls, consisting of a glass layer V with an eventual layer of bromide B for the ralization of mirrors and a protection painting P, to which is applied:

- a layer 1 of epossidical glue smeared when cold;

- a plurality of granular elements 2 partially plunged in the surface 3 of said glue during the realization of said pieces following to the passage under an erogator of crumbled stone, slate, clay or similar a slight pressure allows to obtain a constant calibre (thickness) of the whole surface, while a jet of

blowed air eliminated the granules 2 that have not setted.

The functioning of the glasses and of the mirrors produced according to the present invention seems to be perfect as the application to the wall takes place by means of the anchoring, by means of cement and/or mortar, with all extroflected surfaces of granules 2 that are uncovered because they are not plunged into glue 1.

In a possible variant according to the present invention said granules 2 consist of resins so that they realize a wrinkled back surface 3 with a consequent satisfying anchoring to the walls.

In a further variant the present invention provides the application to glasses V and to mirrors V-B of differentiated compact layers of stone, lavic stone, slate, clay that are compatible with cement and therefore easily applicable to the wall.

Furthermore, the forming process according to the present invention may provide also to put the pieces into an oven for the construction when warm.
