Abstract:
This in-process effective diameter measurement device 12 for a threaded shaft workpiece is provided with a measurement element 13 which is arranged so as to be able to contact a thread groove in the workpiece 11 on the side opposite of the machining point, a single-axis table 17 which positions the measurement element 13 and which is linked to a grinding wheel head 9, two parallel leaf springs 55, 59 which are linked to the single-axis table 17 so as to allow elastic displacement of the measurement element 13 in the axial direction and the radial direction of the workpiece 11, and a calculation processing device 99 which, on the basis of the displacement of the measurement element 13, calculates the correction amount of the amount for a grinding wheel 7 to cut into the workpiece, and this in-process effective diameter measurement device is characterized by being provided with multiple steadying devices 67 which are arranged below the workpiece 11 on a table 5 supporting said workpiece 11 and which, by magnetic attractive force, supports the workpiece 11 in a groove 89 having a V-shaped cross-section.
