Abstract:
In one aspect of the present disclosure, an OTA center 1 performs transmission to an OTA master 32, as RP metadata indicative of configuration information of a distribution package, with a three-layer structure comprising a distribution layer in which a communication protocol and communication destination information are stored, a master layer in which information pertaining to a platform of the OTA master 32 is stored, and a target layer in which information pertaining to a platform of a target ECU 33 is stored. When the OTA master 32 interprets the RP metadata and determines the RP metadata to be a distribution package that is compatible with a vehicle, the OTA master 32 requests, from the OTA center 1, DL metadata in which control information for acquiring data required in correspondence with each layer is stored. When the OTA center 1 transmits the DL metadata to the OTA master 32, the OTA master 32 interprets the DL metadata, acquires necessary data, and performs a data update control of the target ECU 33.
