Abstract:
This in-vehicle device is equipped with: a gesture detection unit which recognizes the position of a user's hand within a predetermined range; a driving condition recognition unit which detects the driving condition of a vehicle; and a gesture control unit which controls the state of the gesture operation based on the result of the hand position recognized by the gesture detection unit. The gesture control unit invalidates the gesture operation when the vehicle driving condition detected by the driving condition recognition unit is in a predetermined state in which the gesture operation is to be made invalid.
