Abstract:
An in-wheel motor drive device 21 is formed of an electric motor part A, a reduction gear part B, and a wheel bearing part C, and is provided with a casing 22. The in-wheel motor drive device 21 is characterized in that the casing 22 is made of a light metal, the casing 22 has a fastening structure M that is for components to be attached and that comprises bolts 71, 71", 102 and nuts 72, 103, the bolts 71, 71", 102 have head parts 71a, 71"a, 102a thereof disposed inside the casing 22, and screw parts 71b, 71"b, 102b thereof disposed so as to project outside of the casing 22, and a structure where the bolts 71, 71", 102 are installed is provided with a mechanism for sealing lubricating oil and a mechanism for stopping rotation of the bolts 71, 71", 102.
