Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/067004
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A filament for an incandescent lamp, providing plane light emission and having excellent lamp efficiency, and a candescent lamp using the filament. A strip of band-shaped filament (11) provided on the same plane has side-by-side sections (17) arranged at intervals and has connection sections (18) for electrically connecting in series the side-by-side sections. The thickness of the side-by-side sections (17) is equal to or greater than 1/2 with the width of a side-by-side section (17) being 1, and an interval between at least any pair of side-by-side sections (17) is at least smaller than 5 with the width of a side-by-side section (17) being 1.
