Abstract:
This individual identification device is provided with: a setting means for setting imaging conditions when imaging a comparison region of an object using a camera; an acquiring means for acquiring a comparison image, which is an image in which the comparison region of the object has been captured by the camera; a comparing means for comparing the comparison image with a registered image that has been registered in advance; and a control means. The control means repeatedly performs processing to acquire the comparison image by means of the acquiring means, while changing the imaging conditions set by the setting means, and processing to compare the comparison image and the registered image by means of the comparing means, and determines the imaging conditions with which the degree of coincidence of the comparison image and the registered image is at least equal to a predetermined threshold. The comparing means identifies an individual on the basis of the comparison image captured under the determined imaging conditions.
