Abstract:
Provided is a ceiling-mounted indoor unit of an air conditioner wherein smooth elevation/lowering or rotation of a movable panel can be achieved at the time of maintenance or starting operation of the indoor unit of an air conditioner.
A ceiling-mounted indoor unit (2) of an air conditioner comprises a body (20) having an air inlet (20a) and an air outlet (20b), a movable panel (24) arranged at a predetermined position covering the air inlet (20a) and movable from a predetermined position, an indoor fan (13) arranged in the body (20) and sucking air from the air inlet (20a) and blowing air from the air outlet (20b), drive mechanisms (6, 7, 8) for moving the movable panel (24), and a control means (90) for controlling the indoor fan (13) and the drive mechanisms (6, 7, 8), wherein the control means (90) stops the indoor fan (13) when the amount of separated space between the movable panel (24) and the predetermined position is equal to or smaller than a first predetermined amount.
