Abstract:
An indoor unit (1) for an air conditioner comprises: a housing (2); a fan (9) that is located inside the housing (2) and moves air; a temperature detection device (7) for detecting temperature; and a control unit (17) that is located inside the housing (2) and for controlling the position of the temperature detection device (7). The control unit (17) positions the temperature detection device (7) inside the housing (2) when the fan (9) is in operation. When the fan (9) is stopped, the control unit (17) positions the temperature detection device (7) outside the housing (2) when a rule is set that specifies that the temperature detection device (7) is positioned outside the housing (2) when the fan (9) is stopped. When the rule is not set, the control unit (17) positions the temperature detection device (7) inside the housing (2).
