Abstract:
An induction motor controller of a power regenerative system which is constituted to quickly decelerate or stop an induction motor even in the event of a power failure. The controller comprises a power failure detection circuit (10) which monitors the voltage of input power (1) and outputs a power failure signal when a power failure occurs, and a resistor discharge control circuit (11) which switches to allow a discharging resistor (12) to dissipate the electric energy of a DC link (3) upon receiving an electric failure signal from the circuit (10). In normal operation, regeneration takes place, while in the event of a power failure, discharge occurs through a resistor to decelerate and stop the motor.
