Abstract:
The present invention provides an induction motor (10) that includes: a rotor (7); and a stator (1) which has a plurality of segmented cores A (2) and a plurality of segmented cores B (3) coupled alternately and in a ring shape. A tooth (2d) of each segmented core A (2) includes a base portion (2b) protruding circumferentially inward from a yoke (2a), and a bent portion (2c) which faces the rotor (7) at the inner circumferential end of the base portion (2b) and extends circumferentially to the left and right over the same length. The gap between the bent portion (2c) and the rotor (7) is configured in such a manner as to be narrow at the base portion (2b) side and to gently widen from the base portion (2b) toward the tips of the bent portion (2c) in the circumferential direction. Each tip, in the circumferential direction, of the bent portion (2c) of each of the plurality of segmented cores A (2) is adjacent to a corresponding one of the tips, in the circumferential direction, of the bent portion (2c) of the adjacent one of the plurality of segmented cores A (2).
