Abstract:
Disclosed is an inductor capable of connecting in stable fashion an external device and a sensor for measuring physical quantities (such as temperature) of the inductor. The inductor (1A) comprises: a coil (2); a magnetic core (3) on which the coil (2) is arranged; and a casing (4) that accommodates a combination (10) of the coil (2) and the magnetic core (3). The casing (4) comprises a bottom plate section and a side wall section (41) that surrounds the periphery of the combination (10); the side wall section (41) is constructed of insulating resin. On the side wall section (41) there is integrally formed, by the resin constituting the side wall section (41), a connector attachment section (44) to which is attached a connector (72) that is connected, through wiring (71), with a sensor, such as a temperature sensor, that measures a physical quantity of the inductor (1A). The inductor (1A) can achieve stable connection of the connector (72) with a connector of an external device since the connector (72) is held in stable fashion on the casing (4) by fixing of the connector (72) by attachment thereof to the connector attachment section (44).
